Katy Clark MSP

Katy Clark is one of two Scottish Labour MSPs for the West Scotland Region. She was re-elected in the 2026 Scottish Parliament elections.

She represents the areas of North Ayrshire, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, Inverclyde, East Dunbartonshire, and West Dunbartonshire in the Scottish Parliament.

In the Scottish Parliament, Katy will fight for:

– Well-paid, secure, and unionised jobs

– Investment through an industrial strategy to create good quality employment in West Scotland

– Policies for full employment

– Fair pay for workers and decent pensions

– Properly funded public services

– The expansion of publicly owned care services

– An NHS that is properly resourced, staffed, and available to all in need

– A guaranteed job, training, and apprenticeship for every young person

– The building of council housing to bring down housing waiting lists

– A publicly owned bus network which puts the needs of passengers and communities first

– An end to both cuts to local councils and the outsourcing of services

– Community-owned renewable energy and for Scotland to show climate leadership

– Political reform including greater powers for local councils and strengthened Freedom of Information laws

– Action to tackle violence against women and girls, for better funding for women’s aid and rape crisis services, for independent legal representation for victims of rape and other sexual offences and action to tackle violence, sexism and misogyny in schools

– Using the powers of the Scottish Parliament to maximum effect to redistribute wealth and deliver social justice for working class communities
